Caustic Cadets Cosmetics Swatches
I received some sample packets from Caustic Cadets Cosmetics, which are now sold on Facebook instead of Etsy. (The owner of the company told me that she made the switch because Etsy charged her about $20/month to sell her products.) I hope her Facebook store is a success!
Here are some swatches from the samples:
|
| Caustic Cadets Cosmetics: (L to R) Beer Before Liquor, Walk of Shame, Comera, Cheeky, Speed Ballin', Galactic, and Wendy |
Beer Before Liquor (eye shadow): Bronze brown with moderate amounts of multi-colored glitter, highly pigmented
Walk of Shame (eye shadow): Electric violet with flecks of periwinkle shimmer, great pigmentation
Comera (creme paint): Matte black cream shadow, buttery soft but not as pigmented as I would like. It would probably make a great e/s base, though.
Cheeky (blusher/highlighter): Gorgeous metallic golden peach
Speed Ballin' (eye base): Sheer pearl shimmer loose powder
Galactic (glitter dust): Very pretty caviar black glitter with flecks of silver
Wendy (mineral lipstick): Tomato red, with more of a sheer lip balm consistency than lipstick
Bottom line: I love the colors and pigmentation of Caustic Cadets' loose eye shadows and glitter powders but I'd pass on the cream-based stuff, since they don't seem to be as pigmented.

Bebe Furry Bomber Jacket Look for Less
I spotted this Bebe hoodie
in the New Arrivals section of their website and it reminded me of a
similar jacket that I'd seen on ShopStyle. I looked it up and, sure
enough, Charlotte Russe
has a very similar bomber-style jacket, also black with grey fur, for
about 1/3 the price. (The only major difference is that the Bebe one has
a hood and the Charlotte Russe one has lapels.)
Both sweater-jackets are made of the same materials and faux fur, so it seems pretty ridiculous to pay over a hundred dollars for the Bebe one. I like the Charlotte Russe jacket better anyway because it's sleeker and has a more chic look, while the Bebe one has a sort of street-style look because of the hood.

Get Crack-A-Lackin' with This Black White and Silver Crackle French Mani
Polishes Used:
1. Sally Hansen Crackle Polish in Ink Splatter
2. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Celeb City
3. White nail polish
4. Sally Hansen Hard As Wraps Acrylic + Nylon Top Coat
Apply 1-2 coats of the silver metallic polish, Celeb City, as base color. Then, apply 1 coat of the black crackle polish, Ink Splatter, on top. (It will crack as it dries.) Next, use an opaque white polish to create a French tip (I did a V shape on my fingernails and a half-moon on my toes). Finally, apply a clear top coat and allow nails to dry.

Obsessed: Nicole Lee Boston Bags

Nicole Lee’s bags can be hard to find in
stores (I’ve only seen them in Marshall’s) but, since they’re all a
bargain at under $70, it’s worth doing a quick Google search. I found a
lot of them at b4bags.com, bagmadness.com, mypursehub.com, and buckle.com. You can also check her official website for new collections and updates.
What do you think of Nicole Lee's bags?

The Perfect Way to Store Your Pigments and Other Makeup

| 5 -Drawer Makeup and Jewelry Organizer from FindingKing.com |
My makeup is usually thrown all over the place- my vanity table looks like it something out of an episode of Hoarders. I finally got tired of everything collecting dust because it was sitting out in the open, so I looked online for something I could use to keep all of it organized.
This black storage case from FindingKing.com has 5 drawers and has enough room for most, if not all, of your cosmetics. It measures approximately 15 1/8" x 8 3/8" x 7 5/8" (38.4 x 21.3 x 19.2 cm) and can come with various inserts for jewelry or trays with different sizes of little plastic jars for pigments and other loose powders (shown above).
If you're tired of rummaging through a messy train case or bathroom drawer to find the makeup you're looking for, check out this makeup/jewelry storage case and get organized!
