Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Village Naturals Aromatherapy Relax Vanilla & Cinnamon Body Butter, $8

Brrrr! I'm sitting at the computer with a winter coat and fuzzy boots on as I'm typing this post. It's COLD! Turkey Day is tomorrow and the Indian Summer that we had in L.A. last month is looong gone. :(  I get cranky when the weather changes because I usually get sick. I always complain and mutter something about how "island people" aren't meant for the cold, but the real reason I hate cold weather so much is because it's so DRY.

Bebe Furry Bomber Jacket Look for Less

Bebe Textured Fur Hoodie, $150, bebe.com
I spotted this Bebe hoodie in the New Arrivals section of their website and it reminded me of a similar jacket that I'd seen on ShopStyle. I looked it up and, sure enough, Charlotte Russe has a very similar bomber-style jacket, also black with grey fur, for about 1/3 the price. (The only major difference is that the Bebe one has a hood and the Charlotte Russe one has lapels.)

Charlotte Russe Ribbed Faux Fur Jacket, $43, charlotterusse.com

Both sweater-jackets are made of the same materials and faux fur, so it seems pretty ridiculous to pay over a hundred dollars for the Bebe one. I like the Charlotte Russe jacket better anyway because it's sleeker and has a more chic look, while the Bebe one has a sort of street-style  look because of the hood.

Obsessed: GlamNoir Snakeskin Print Bangles

All right, I admit it. I'm a ho for animal prints. One look in my closet and it's like a safari exploded in there- I have leopard print everything... but I also have crocodile bags, snakeskin and zebra print heels, and a zebra iPhone case. (Don't worry, I don't wear all of it at the same time.)

Luckily, the animal print trend is like the cockroach of fashion- it will always be there and it will survive through anything. Python is huge for the upcoming Fall season and you can find it everywhere on everything- but how 'bout some snakeskin jewelry? Far from tacky plastic bangles, these genuine snakeskin cuffs by GlamNoir are totally on-trend and look absolutely luxe (but very affordable!):

GlamNoir 14k Gold Plated Genuine Gray Snakeskin Safari Bangle Bracelet, $45

Glamnoir Genuine Golden Python Snakeskin Safari Gunmetal Bangle Bracelet, $45

Glamnoir 14k Gold Plated Black Python Snakeskin Safari Bangle Bracelet, $45

Glamnoir Genuine Silver Snakeskin Safari Gunmetal Bangle Bracelet, $45

And one leopard print for good measure:

This Season's Trends Make Cold Weather Look Hot

Cold weather giving you a bad case of the "blahs"? Forget about ugly UGG boots and lumpy bubble jackets- counteract the drab and grey with the flashy and colorful. The most popular accessories this season are a culmination of all of the boldest, sexiest, most attention-grabbing trends from the past decade:

1. Purple, mustard, fuschia and other deep colors

5. Animal prints like leopard, zebra, and python

6. Platorm pumps, booties, and thigh high boots

8. Sequins on jackets, dresses, bags, shoes, etc.

9. Velvet blazers, dresses, and skirts

10. Touches of lace in unexpected places- on shoes, on the backs of tops, blazers, and dresses, on bags, etc.

These trends can be found anywhere and everywhere right now, so any "recessionistas" on a budget can definitely find these statement-making styles in their price range.
